A time tunnel that leads people to a journey to discover the profound and distinctive Xiguan food culture of Liwan district made debut at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on February 2, which quickly caught the attention of passersby.

Applying multi-media contents and technologies such as interactive digital display and cinematic image processing, a magnificent scroll spanning 50 meters is unveiled at the time tunnel, depicting the development of Xiguan food over the past 2,000 years, and showcasing Lingnan culture, the folk tradition and city landscape of Guangzhou.

Located at a crucial passage linking the airport terminal and the metro with huge passenger flow every day, the time tunnel is expected to be a window to introduce the flavors of Xiguan and the charm of Lingnan region to global travelers.

This is the first time that Liwan district government joins hands with the airport sector. The launch of the time tunnel also marked the start of a year-long campaign to promote the Lingnan culture of Liwan district.
