Escalators are being installed at the Baiyun Mountain scenic spot in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. This will provide a great deal of convenience to tourists who may have difficulty climbing the mountain.

Built inside the woods and rocks of Baiyun Mountain, the escalators stretch all the way to the Moxing Summit (摩星岭). They will be open to the public on February 5 after a year and a half of construction.

The facilities located approximately 150 meters ahead of the south gate of Moxing Summit enable visitors to reach the summit from the south gate in just five minutes, a significant improvement from the previous 15-minute climb up of steep stone stairs.

The ascending journey consists of two sections of escalators that can lift tourists up 26 meters, as well as a 150-meter-long walking trail. From there, visitors can enjoy a bird's-eye view of Baiyun New City and the grand sunset view of the city.

Opening hours of the facilities: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Moxing Summit ticket price: 5 yuan/adult (free to use escalators)
