Recently, a delegation consisting of 17 representatives from enterprises of several European countries, such as Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy, visited the Guangzhou Development District. The trip is aimed at enabling them to have a deeper understanding of the latest achievements of the district, in terms of business climate, industry development, technological innovation and ecological and environmental protection.

A number of hi-tech companies wowed the delegation members with cutting-edge products and technologies, such as the VR factory technology of MINO Equipment Co.,Ltd., smart home devices and business tablets with interactive functions of Guangzhou Shiyuan Electronic Technology Company Limited (CVTE), and driverless buses developed by WeRide.

The delegation also visited some places and companies in the Sino-Singapore Knowledge City, such as the Free Port for International Talents, the Exhibition Center, CloudMinds, Biosyngen and Cone Technology.

"Chinese businesses are very active in international cooperation, which impressed me," said David Merriman, a consultant of international business development for a transnational corporation.

Merriman hoped that the Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu district could provide transnational enterprises with more opportunities for cooperation, particularly in the field of biomedicine.
