Spring Festival lantern show to be staged at Yuexiu Park

Yuexiu Park in Guangzhou has announced recently that it will hold a grand Spring Festival lantern show from February 2 to March 4, which has been one of the city's major cultural events to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year for years.

Sets of dazzling lanterns will be displayed in an enclosed area including the park's main entrance, with admission ticket pricing at 40 yuan per adult.

Children at or under six years old, or no taller than 1.2 meters can enjoy free admission. Those between 1.2 and 1.5 meters tall, and those aged between six and 18 years old, as well as undergraduate students are eligible for half-price tickets.

People aged at or above 65 years old can also visit the lantern show for free. While seniors between 60 and 65 years old are eligible for half-price tickets.

During the Spring Festival holiday, which lasts from February 10 to 17 this year, visitors will be able to enjoy a 20% discount on full-price tickets, which will cost 32 yuan per adult.

It's worth noting that some famous scenic spots inside the park, such as the Five Rams Statue, Zhenhai Tower, Sun Yat-sen Monument and fort barbette peaks will remain open to the public for free. People can reach these sites by entering from the East, South and West gates and the east entrance of the North gate.
