Around Changping (长平) Station of Guangzhou Metro Line 21 in Huangpu district, there are several scenic spots of different features awaiting visitors to explore. Come and check out five destinations near the station with SilkRoadPost.


1. Muqiang Reservoir 木强水库


Located on Libo'ao (李伯坳) section of Guangzhou-Shantou (广汕) Highway, Muqiang Reservoir is a natural oxygen bar that allows people to breathe fresh air along hiking trails.

2. Changling (长岭) National Fitness Footpath


Boasting a forest coverage rate of over 50%, Changling National Fitness Footpath of Huangpu is awarded a plaque bearing the characters of national-level demonstration project, the first of its kind in Guangdong province. It also has several other scenic spots nearby, such as Chuansuo Beidou (Shuttling Big Dipper), Jiming (crow) mountains, and Shuisheng (sound of water) Reservoir.

3. Zhushan (珠山) Camp


Zhushan Camp, also where Duoba'an (dopamine) Town located in, has been rebuilt from the original site, taking up an area of over 20,000 square meters. Far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, the camp has become a perfect place for fitness and outdoor activities thanks to its newly-developed scenic areas with wandering brooks.

4. Honglingtou (红岭头) Black Tea Creation Park of Huangpu


The black tea variety Huangpuhong (黄埔红) is a signature product of Huangpu district. Also located in Huangpu is Honglingtou, a creation park of over 10,000 mu (667 hectares), which is also a production base of Huangpuhong. The park, comprising of tea gardens, fruit trees and rivulets, is bursting with lush greenery.

5. Xingshi (lion dance) Culture Center and Music Valley


Xingshi Culture Center has been opening to the public since January 1, 2023. The two-storey building covers an area of 1,000 square meters and is divided into multiple display sections, offering visitors a glimpse of xingshi culture of Lingnan region.
