UPDATED :2023-12-18

Just in time for the 2024 "Year of the Dragon," these Komodo dragons were introduced to the media at a zoo in Guangzhou, Guangdong. The Chimelong Safari Park in this South China city has successfully bred 25 Komodo dragons, making it the largest Komodo dragon breeding base in China. Native to parts of Indonesia, mostly Komodo Island, some of Guangzhou's new Komodo dragon residents are already over 2 meters long. It is understood that Chimelong is constructing a new Komodo dragon exhibition hall, which is expected to be ready before Chinese New Year in February.
