The 2018 China  Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair will kick off on June 22 in Guangzhou. The three-day fair will feature more than 1,000 exhibitors and over 1,000 achievements at the forefront of technological development.
More than 200 guest speakers, 100 individuals from venture capital institutions and over 20 academicians will gather at the event to provide suggestions for industrial development, technological innovation, investment and entrepreneurship.
Over 20 exhibition sections
The fair, covering 21,000 square meters, will feature 20 exhibition areas.
The exhibition areas will highlight the technological achievements of strategic emerging industries, including artificial intelligence (AI), new generation information technology, automotive technology innovation, intelligent health and biomedical science, and military-civilian fusion.
Also presented will be projects related to key elements of the innovation chain - such as capital, talent, information, and intellectual property- which showcase international and domestic innovation and entrepreneurship.
An international innovation zone will exhibit dual-creation projects from the United States, South Korea, Finland, Norway, Japan, Israel, Singapore, Sweden, New Zealand and other countries and regions.
The domestic innovation and business exhibition area not only will present projects from all over mainland China, but also will include a special section on the "Guangdong- Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," with more than 80 projects from Hong Kong and Macau.
More than 30 special events
The fair will host more than 30 special events, such as a future technology program, a China venture capital round-table, a discussion on experience sharing, and an automotive technology innovation forum. These programs will include keynote speeches, special reports, round table discussions, academic exchanges, popular science lectures, expert dialogues, and sessions on innovation and entrepreneurship events.
More than 200 well-known domestic and foreign scientists, entrepreneurs and venture capital guests are expected to speak at the special events.
The organizer of the fair hopes it can contribute to building a platform for exchanges of capital and project cooperation through organized events.
International Data Group to co-host the fair
The Guangzhou Municipal Government introduced the International Data Group (IDG) to co-host the fair this year.
IDG has moved its Global Mobile Internet Creative Development Contest (MIC) Global Finals to Guangzhou. The group is bringing top entrepreneurship teams from China, the United States, South Korea, Finland, Norway, Italy and other countries to Guangzhou to participate in the competition.
At the same time, IDG will also invite well-known investment institutions, incubators and industrial park representatives from China and elsewhere to face-to-face exchanges with participants.
In 2017, China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair officially settled in Guangzhou, becoming another of many national fairs organized by the city.
Throughout 2017, a total of 160 projects were promoted to achieve cooperation goals, 63 projects were finalized, and the transaction total reached 6.63 billion yuan.
The fair is a showcase of Guangzhou's environment, capabilities and potential for new economic development.
In the future, the city will offer more services to accelerate the development of a new economy and nurture a favorable environment for enterprises.
