Special service windows for helping talented individuals apply for green cards and foreigners’ work permits were recently established at the one-stop service hall of Tianhe Talent Base (TTB). The goal is to help serve high-caliber talents from home and abroad in consultation, application guidance and other services, all for free.

The special talent green card service window offers a hot line for more relevant details and guides talented individuals on how to apply for the card online. The card entitles the holders to the same benefits as locals enjoy, like property purchasing, vehicle license registration, and children’s schooling. Also card holders are able to apply for business licenses, open bank accounts, and enjoy favorable treatments in innovation and entrepreneurship.

More than 1,000 talent green cards have been issued in the city since last year. They help draw talents from both other parts of China and abroad to come to work in Guangzhou.

The foreigners’ work permit service window is set up to provide services for experienced and professional overseas talented individuals working in the city. Guangzhou, as one of the 10 pilot cities to issue foreigners’ work permits, began offering the service to overseas talents last November. The city has streamlined the foreigners’ work permit application process so that foreign talents working in Guangzhou can enjoy the conveniences it brings.
