Aoyi Paradise, a virtual reality (VR) experience center, opened at Grandview mall on December 24.
The center is China’s first such venue integrating VR, augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) technologies. MR is the merging of real and virtual worlds to produce new environments and visualizations where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real time. It is a new type of business covering VR experience, catering and the sale of derivatives.
Aoyi entered into a strategic partnership with the Alpha Group (a company focused on cartoons and amusement) and obtained its exclusive mandate from many intellectual properties (IP) in an offline experience area of VR.
The company hopes to develop a comprehensive experience center that can serve as an industry benchmark by employing intellectual properties such as Weslie and Superwings. Company officials say statistics show that the offline experience of VR enjoys a promising future for upgrading. The industry is expected to reach hundreds of billions of RMB in business, according to Aoyi officials.
