IFC, Guangzhou's First Multi-business Skyscraper, Opens
Guangzhou International Finance Center, also known as West Tower, announced its grand opening yesterday. The 103-story piece of unique architecture has been listed as the tenth highest skyscraper in the world at 432 meters.

Guangzhou International Finance Center (IFC), also known as West Tower, announced its grand opening yesterday (September 26).

The 103-story piece of unique architecture has been listed as the tenth highest skyscraper in the world at 432 meters. It functions as a five-star hotel, super A office, premium mall, MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) and apartments. So it is also nicknamed "an dimensional city." Yuexiu Property has invisted a total of RMB 8.1 billion yuan. By the end of 2005, construction had begun on the West Tower and to solicit business clients by 2009. Before the Guangzhou Asian Games opening in 2010, it took its first trial operation.




According to Chen Zhihong, General Manager Operation of Yuexiu Property, strategic partnership includes some international corporate brands like Guangzhou Four Seasons Hotel, Guangzhou Friendship Store, CBRE Group Inc, Jones Lang LaSalle and Ascott. Over 60% of the office area is occupied by financing enterprises. The rent is RMB 210/sqm/month on average, with a maximum of RMB 300/sqm/month, a record in South China market.

Located in the city's CBD Zhujiang New Town, the West Tower is one of the iconic landmarks along the Pearl River. Together with the Canton Tower and neighboring tall buildings, visitors can enjoy a visual extravaganza of light on Huacheng Square, the biggest public space to enjoy the city's beauty at night.
