"GAC Trumpchi Cup" Guangzhou New Look Photography Contest is a new photography competition run by The Culture & Press Service Team for the Guangzhou Asian Games & Asian Para Games, undertaken by the Guangzhou Office for the Promotion of Spiritual Civilization and the Guangdong Photographers Association. The exclusive sponsor of the contest is GAC Motor.

Subject: "Asian Games Appearance, Guangzhou New Look"
Give prominence to the following content:

1. New city landscapes for "a new Guangzhou."

2. Marking moments showing the "civilized side of Guangzhou"

3. Good shots taken during the Asian Games & Asian Para Games.

Deadline

5:00 P.M., 20th December, 2010.

Grand Prize – 1 person
RMB 100,000

1st Prize – 5 people
RMB 50,000 each

2nd Prize – 10 people
RMB 10,000 each

3rd Prize – 20 people
RMB 5,000 each

Excellence Prize – 50 People
RMB 500 each

Rules

This competition is open to participants worldwide. Participants must be the photographer and the owner of the copyright for any image entered.

Single or series of photographs are acceptable. Each series is confined between 4 and 8 photographs.

Submitted photographs should faithfully represent the scene as a photographer saw it. Minor burning, dodging and/or color correction is acceptable. Cropping is acceptable, as are fish-eye lenses. Any changes to the original photograph not itemized are unacceptable and will render the photograph ineligible for a prize.

Photographs must not include a watermark or border.

Only mail entries are eligible. Mail entries must be color or black-and-white prints at a 10 inch size. Name of entrant, address and phone number of entrant should appear on the back of the print. Do not send in negatives or disks to accompany the photographs.

Other Instructions

By entering the Contest, all entrants (or their respective parents or legal guardians) grant a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to sponsor, to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries (along with a name credit) in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest, in any media now or hereafter known, including, but not limited to: display at a potential exhibition of winners; publication of a book featuring select entries in the Contest; publication online highlighting entries or winners of the Contest.

If the photograph contains any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties, and/or if any persons appear in the Photograph, the entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the photograph, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the exhibition and use of the photograph without additional compensation.

By entering the Contest, the participant accepts and warrants that all the conditions or rules announced in this notice.

From February to June, 2011, non-winning entries can be picked-up at the office of the Guangdong Photographers Association.
