Dutch Design Talks: Eat·Love

The first edition of Dutch Design Talks, featuring Dutch designer Marije Vogelzang and Chinese artist Lu Biaobiao, will take place on December 3 in Fei Gallery. This event is organized by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou.


Marije Vogelzang calls herself the first ‘eating designer’ of the Netherlands. Her work revolves all around food, like food sharing, food preparing, and food transporting. In her lecture, she will speak about her design-led approach to food and her personal motto: Eat love.

Chinese fashion and jewelry designer Lu Biaobiao is an associate professor from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA). She has participated in exhibitions both in and outside China. Lu will speak about her works and her inspiration: Love is everything.

Both Vogelzang and Lu will give a lecture about their works and their philosophies with audiences, and will engage in a discussion about their differences and similarities.


About the Dutch Design Talks:
The Dutch Design Talks, initiated by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, aims to promote mutual inspiration and to facilitate opportunities for cooperation. During each edition of the Talks, Dutch and Chinese designers from different fields of life will give lectures about their works, the approaches they use, and their creative processes.
