Hiromi Uehara, a popular Japanese Jazz pianist and a winner at the 58th Grammy's, will hold her premiere concert in Xinghai Concert Hall, Guangzhou, on May 26, along with her excellent partners from the "Hiromi Trio".
Featuring a bold and innovative music style, Hiromi has been dubbed the fairy of Jazz and often appears on stage with an outlandish hairdo. She blends her fluent playing skills with a diversity of music styles such as classical, Jazz, country and rock - wowing audiences all around the world.
Hiromi showed talent in music when she started to learn classical piano at the age of six. After cooperating with a European top orchestra and American Jazz pianist Chick Core, Hiromi - only a teenager then - became acclaimed in the musical world. Her music career kicked off by releasing her debut album when she was studying at the famous Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduation, she started a band called "Hiromi Trio" and released two albums that grabbed many awards in Japan. Hiromi genuinely became one of the most popular stars in the west when the 58th Grammy's in 2011 handed her and her band - The Stanley Clarke Band - the "Best Contemporary Jazz Award".

Hiromi's partners in the band "Hiromi Trio" are also noteworthy: Anthony Jackson, the bassist and Steve Smith, the drummer. Both of them have made great achievements in their fields respectively.
