After being displayed in both Beijing and Shanghai, photographs from the "My Shangri-La" photography competition will come to Guangzhou. The contest winners along with specially selected photographs will be shown at the Shangri-La Hotel for three weeks, before heading to Chengdu.

The winning photos were painstakingly selected by a top panel of judges, including director Tian Zhuangzhuang (winner of the Tokyo International Movie Festival Best Movie Award) and other photography experts,
The top four photographs were declared Gold, Silver, Bronze and Excellence entries and another four entries were given individual awards. All will be present at the exhibition.
In the exhibition opening ceremony, Wen Zhiping, the general manager of Guangzhou Shangri-La Hotel, delivered a speech describing the marvelous scenery in Shangri-La and highlighted the message behind the topic of care and harmony.
The selection criteria and the tough decisions made by the panel of judges can also be viewed at the exhibition.
"The contest shows that people observe and capture beautiful things around them. Everyone has their own moments of Shangri-La and people have to give their own Shangri-La," states director Tian Zhuangzhuang on one of the recorded interviews at the exhibition.
