"Arrêts de jeu" is an interesting piece of dance choreographed on a football match at the Sevillan World Cup semifinals in 1982. By the playoff, the score was three to one in favour of France to the Germany. However, the German team went on to beat the French team with two legendary goals and one lucky penalty kick.

The dancers from Compagnie Dernière Minute will use body movements present the football players’ varying emotions as they move beteween happiness, sadness, tension and excitement. The effective use of light and setting will help present one of the first staged football games.
Choreographer Pierre Rigal was a sprint champion before he became a modern dancer, his work was also strongly influenced by diversified digital technology.
He founded Compagnie Dernière Minute in 2003. With director Aurélien Bory ,they have created many master pieces, including his fist piece the solo érection and Arrêts de jeu.
