Sofitel will begin a China tour of A Magnifique Journey. This exciting show has been made especially to celebrate Sofitel's successful first half-century relationship between France and China, that has flourished during the same time-frame. Music, dance, theatre and strong visual images will transport audiences on "A Magnifique Journey" through five decades and between two continents.

Nostalgia, romance, glamour, colour, humour, digital images and more than a little theatrical magic, all combine in a fast-paced music and dance spectacular that contains something for everyone. The 45-minute show will be staged in Sofitel hotels in eight cities from November 4 to 25, including Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Xian, Jinan, Chongqing, Chengdu and Macau.

Invited guests will include Sofitel guests, partners and loyalty members. In addition some tickets will be available via social media channels.

'A Magnificent Journey' incorporates all the arts in a series of vignettes that use various genres from jazzy steps to contemporary ballet. Also a fusion of tai chi against an eclectic selection of music that links the very different world of the sixties to present-day China and France. Stars of the show are French-Chinese singer and actress, Lou Wong, winner of many awards, and Anthony Esteve-Chuecos, the multi-talented Parisian dancer and actor.

Artistic Director Lisa Souissa is also a choreographer with a strong background in performing art and management. She is a veteran instructor of contemporary ballet for major international production companies including Cirque du Soleil and Dragone Entertainment Group. The technical Director, Jason Graham, has a wide range of experience, varying from major sporting events, to large-scale theatrical productions and touring shows. Currently he is the Sound Department Head for 'The House of Dancing Water' in Macau.

The performers play multiple roles, as this fast-paced production transports the audience from a fashionable pavement café in 1960s Paris, to some of China’s most beautiful scenic and historical regions. The next stop will find them in St Tropez, Southern France, in the exhilarating and highly competitive world of a French show business audition. The action returns to China for the closing celebration, which combines music and dance to express Sofitel‘s successful fusion of the best of Chinese and French tradition.
