A restaurant that can teach children the principles of traffic safety opened in Guangzhou on November 30. The children actually learn common sense concepts of traffic safety while they are eating.
The restaurant, located on Jiangnan west road, Haizhu district, features unique table stickers that describe cartoon stories about traffic safety. The aim is to offer children a pleasant environment where they can learn traffic safety tips.
Diners in the restaurant can observe a pedestrian crossing, an arrow that shows directions, and a motor vehicle model parking scheme that is laid out on the floor. Different traffic signs are displayed on the windows, and a model traffic light is set by the meal-ordering area to let diners known how to line up.
The restaurant enables children to enjoy food while they read interesting cartoon stories and pick up knowledge about traffic safety at the same time. It’s a method for traffic police to pass on safety knowledge to children more easily, according to a restaurant staff member.
Special educational activities will be organized for children in the community at regular intervals, including interesting games and story-telling sessions, to cultivate children’s awareness about traffic safety.
