If you ever wondered if you could find authentic German cuisine in Panyu, Rauber Kneissl Restaurant could be the place you’ve been seeking. It’s a deli, restaurant and bar, all wrapped into one.
A German/Bavarian style restaurant, Rauber Kneissl was opened a year ago on Dashi Street in Panyu District. It combines imported ingredients with traditional Bavarian cooking methods to create its dishes and snacks.
Sausages play a prominent role on the menu. White sausage is highly recommended by the owner. When you bite into it, you experience a juicy and springy interior. The restaurant also serves pork sausage, Engadiner sausage, and Bavarian dry sausage.
Raditeller (a white baby radish, often sliced) and cheese platter are two popular starters, both best accompanied with beer in Bavaria.
Mr. Huber, the owner, has decorated the restaurant in traditional Bavarian design. The paintings will catapult you into a different time and location. Also, you can drink from a fresh tapped keg of beer at the bar and enjoy blues and live jazz on the stage.
