Guangdong Fashion Week 2016 kicked off last night at the China Fashion Trade Center in Guangzhou.
Fashion Week, which is co-hosted by the Guangdong Association of Garments and Garment Article Industry and the Guangdong Fashion Designers Association, has been held biannually for 18 sessions since 2002. This month, from August 22 to 28, Guangzhou is being inundated with poshly overdressed and modishly underdressed individuals and models. The event is expected to draw large crowds to its parade of glamor. Despite the rather hostile weather, throngs of organizers, designers, models and guests showed up last night to celebrate the opening ceremony extravaganza. Beautiful couture designed by graduates from Istituto Secoli ignited the audience. Up to 50 different runway shows are going to take place during the week, such as Denim Cool-Show, 2017 Guangdong Knitting Trend Launching Event, and the 2017/18 Yam Trend Launching Event.
