The restaurant street, open in 2010, is a street near Lychee Bay and Liwan Lake Park home to authentic Cantonese restaurants of different varieties.
Here, visitors can enjoy a splendid dinner at Panxi Restaurant (泮溪酒家). It was founded in 1947, being famous for its Cantonese garden design and skillfully made dim sum. Having a meal there may be a bit expensive – around RMB 60 – 100 per person.
However, visitors can see a lot of small, cheaper restaurants in the streets around. You can have a taste of lai fun, a special Cantonese rice noodle at Ling Ji Restaurant (凌记) nearby. After eating the meal, why not having some sweet soup at Kai Ji (开记)? Along the street, a full table of food usually costs less than RMB 100.
