Canton Fair authorities in April will retain the same reduced prices for exhibition booths that were established last year in a bid to ease the pressure and reduce the burden for exhibitors.

Last year the rent for standard booths in Hall C was decreased by 5,550 yuan, while the fee for booths in Hall A and B was cut 3,550 yuan, according to the fair’s organizing committee. These reductions saved exhibitors 240 million yuan overall. Organizers will retain the same fair structure this year.

Overseas buyers in 2016 numbered 185,704, coming from 213 countries and regions around the world, an increase of 4.6 percent over 2015. The number of buyers from “Belt and Road” countries stood at 81,604, up 7.93 percent and accounting for 44 percent of the total. Export transactions at the 2016 autumn Canton Fair totaled 187.301 billion yuan, an increase of 3.2 percent over the 2015 autumn session.
