With the Canton Fair having opened, the passenger flow from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Ningbo, Nanjing and Yiwu to Guangzhou has increased significantly. To meet the traveling needs of Canton Fair participants, China Southern Airlines is increasing the number of seats from Guangzhou to Yiwu and Ningbo by more than 3,000, on 20 flights.

With the extra planes, there will be five round-trip flights from Guangzhou to Yiwu and eight from Guangzhou to Ningbo every day.

On October 19, the closing day of the first phase of the fair, more than 60% of the seats to the six cities in East China have been sold, with the share of sold seats to Ningbo and Yiwu up to 80%. On November 4, the closing day of the fair’s third and final phase, discounted tickets from Guangzhou to Nanjing and Wenzhou still remain.
