The second edition of the Sino–French Business Forum will be held on Thursday, May 15 at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich. The forum is the result of close cooperation between the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (CCIFC) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). A bevy of other French and Chinese groups will also serve as event partners, including the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hong Kong (FCCIHK), the French Agency for International Investments (AFII) and Ubifrance.

The event is unique among major trade conferences in China in the meetings between French and Chinese participants who are centered around sector-specific tables at an exchange dinner. The Sino-French Business Forum makes it easier for French businesses to access the Chinese market by connecting French companies directly with potential Chinese partners and customers.

Forging these connections between French businesses and their Chinese counterparts is the primary aim of the forum. Organizers have profiled all attendees and sorted them into a variety of industry-specific sectors in order to optimize exchange. Chinese companies will have the chance to make inquiries about investment opportunities in France, while French companies will be able to explore further avenues for development in the lucrative Chinese market.

Attendees are sure to have a jam-packed agenda. First on the docket will be attending business and economic conferences lead by the Official Partners of the Forum. After the initial meetings, guests will be able to loosen their ties over refreshments at a pre-dinner cocktail party style event. The business dinner, to start at 6:00 p.m., will furnish plenty of opportunities for all participants to represent their industry and exchange their views and pitches at thematic tables. Themes include: Environment, Energy, Architecture & Design, Consumer Goods, Services, Invest in France, Automotive & Helicopter, Agribusiness, Science and Technology, Nuclear and more. French and Chinese cultures will both be showcased through a fine selection of French wines, paired with traditional Chinese dishes.

Bruno Bisson, the Consul General of France in Guangzhou, will have the honor of introducing this outstanding event and has taken a lead role in supporting this initiative, alongside Zeng Kaizhang, CCPIT President and Olivier Guibert, CCIFC President. The second Sino-French Business Forum coincides with the 50th anniversary of the re-establishment of Sino-French diplomatic relations, and serves to strongly reinforce Sino-French ties through joint economic development.
