Flights from Guangzhou to Laoag, a city in the Philippines, will begin on November 1.
Offered by China Eastern Airlines, the flights depart Guangzhou at 9:45 a.m. and arrive at Laoag at 11:10 a.m. The return flight leaves Laoag at 12:10 p.m. and reaches Guangzhou’s Baiyun International Airport at 1:35 p.m. The flights run only two days a week - Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Before this direct flight, passengers leaving Guangzhou had to transfer in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, to get to Laoag.
The Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel in Laoag is parlaying the introduction of the new flights to offer guests four different tour packages of four to five days. The prices vary from 1980 yuan to 2980 yuan.
