The Cantonese Culture Tourism Carnival - featuring delicacies, special hotel offers, tourism products, cultural activities and shopping - is being held on Beijing Road and will run through October 23.

More than 40 exhibitors are showcasing Cantonese culture, tourism and fashion, international delicacies, crafts, folk customs, operas and music. In addition, 10 cultural performances from countries along the Maritime Silk Road will be presented at the site to demonstrate foreign cultures from Spain, Indonesia, Mexico, Africa, Columbia and Laos. More than 30 consuls and officials from the consulates of foreign countries in Guangzhou started what is called the “Cantonese culture experience tour.”

They visited Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, the Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, and Wan Mu Cao Tang, and also sampled traditional Cantonese tea and pastries. On October 16, foreign and college students from other regions joined the tour and had a taste of authentic Cantonese culture at the festival.
