The first Cantonese baby panda "Yue Yu" (meaning "bred in Canton") is 28 days old now since it was born on July 31st at Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort. Compared with his first appearance before cameras, it looks a lot more like a panda now with its symbolic dark eye circle. Yue Yu, whose gender and weight have not yet been confirmed, is living with its mother under continuous protection from professional zoo keepers who provide 24-hour nursing.

Compared with other precious species in the world, pandas find it very hard to conduct intercourse and delivery, a fact that has been universally acknowledged. It's more challenging in the humid and hot climate of the South China Guangdong Province. As a result, the birth of Yue Yu in Guangzhou has been deemed a miracle and a huge progress for the course of panda protection in China.
