Florentia Village Guangzhou-Foshan Luxury Designer Outlet, the only authentic Italian luxury outlet in South China, recently held its first anniversary celebration to mark its achievements throughout the past year.

Celebrity actor Ming Dao, known for his role in “Bully President;” international actress and “TV Queen” Myolie Wu; and Chinese IT girl Yvonne Ching, were special guests at the event. Commercial, political, and social elites including Laura Egoli, consul-general for Italy in Guangzhou, also attended. Many Guangzhou and Foshan fashion insiders took part in the celebration.

A variety of artistic performances were showcased. Among them, William Close, the popular musician from ‘America's Got Talent’ TV program, drew the loudest applause for his beautiful rendition on the novel earth harp. It marked Close’s first performance in China since he won the Got Talent competition.

The Central Square of Florentia Village was magically transformed into an earth harp – the world’s largest string instrument, with architectural trickery that provided members of the audience an illusion that they themselves were inside the harp. The audience was mesmerized by the melodies that reverberated around them. A dance performance combining 3D mapping technology followed shortly after. A troupe of artists took to the stage to leap and dance at extremely rapid speeds with virtual light beams, crafting a poetic abstract world and leading the audience along a fantasy journey.

This celebration is a testament that Florentia Village Guangzhou-Foshan Luxury Designer Outlet creates an authentic Italian-style shopping ambience and provides unparalleled shopping experience across first-tier cities we operate in China,” said Jacopo Mazzei, chairman and CEO of RDM Group. He added, “After the successful opening of Jingjin, Shanghai, and Guangfo centers, we will bring this unique experience to more cities across Greater China as we build our presence in Hong Kong, west, and central regions. We provide top quality shopping experience to consumers with a comprehensive brand mix, and attractive discounts throughout the year. The shopping environment will be complemented by exquisite cuisine and exciting entertainment facilities that make Florentia Village a perfect destination for families, friends and couples.”

The first anniversary celebration also began Florentia Village’s festivities for the Chinese Lunar New Year. The village adorns its fountains, squares, galleries and arcades with traditional Chinese New Year decorations such as big lanterns, Chinese knots to create a festive and jolly atmosphere.

From January 12 to February 24, purchases exceeding RMB1,500 earn shoppers a lucky card at the outlet. Guests fortunate enough to open the lucky card will receive a wide array of surprises.

Florentia Village will introduce more trendy designer and luxury brands in the near future to further satisfy the increasing demands and expectations of consumers in South China. Furthermore, an expansive 3,500-square-meter family entertainment area and an improved variety of dining options within the center are being developed to further enhance the shopping experience in Florentia Village.

More international brands, including Saint Laurent, Tory Burch, DC Comics, Mattel, and Zwilling will open stores at Florentia Village’s Jingjin, Shanghai and Guangfo centers this year.

Florentia Village will open a Hong Kong outlet in February and stores in Wuhan and Chengdu in mid and late 2017.
