Guangzhou will have a series of cooking competitions during the latter half of this year at Tianyu Square in Tianhe District to find “The Real Master Chef”! No matter where you come from, any authentic dish from your hometown would be welcome in the competition!

The competitions are divided into several different sections for participants of diverse roles. They are fathers, housewives, young white-collar workers, teenagers and media. From July to December, the cooking competitions include primary contests, semifinals and finals for you to take part in.

The theme of the cooking competitions is searching for delicious food that may have been forgotten for a long time, and increasing awareness of Chinese cuisine culture. Participants should show delicacies of their hometowns by cooking at the scene of the competition venue.

If you want to sign up for the games, please send an email to lifeofguangzhou@126.com to tell us your name, nationality, email address and the name of your dish with ingredients required. You should also tell us which section you would like to attend. You need to bring the main materials to the spot where there will be some basic cooking machines and ingredients.

The monthly champions and the final champion will win attractive presents such as air tickets to Thailand, Italian wines and free meals in some famous restaurants!

August 22, September 12—For housewives
September 26, October 10—For young white-collar workers
October 24, November 14—For teenagers
November 28, December 12—For media
December 24 (TBA)—Final
