Four New Parks Open on Er-sha Island

Around 300,000 square meters of new parks have recently opened on Ersha island which shall host many badminton competitions during the up-coming Asian Games. Located in the center of Guangzhou, the island is home to many local millionaires and foreign officials as its boasts plenty of luxurious appartments and villas. Significantly improving the surroundings, these four new parks will definitely make a greener environment and help drive property prices even higher.

The authorities have announced the four parks (Guangzhou Development Park, Guangzhou Auto Park, Sport Park and Hongcheng Park)  they shall possess a number of destinctive characteristics. For instance the Guangzhou Development Park features artistic sculptures made to ressemble modern art and the Guangzhou Auto Park presents a four-season garden landscape.

The construction of these parks was done in great haste in order to complete them ahead of the Asian Games.The number of large trees which were successfully transplanted onto the island are some of the local tree species. To visit these new parks, you can take bus No.2 / 57 / 12 / 89 / 131A / 131B / 194.
