Luntou-University Island Tunnel Opens to Traffic

The Luntou - Biological Island - University tunnel was formally inaugurated yesterday (Aug 31). This toll-free 2.5km tunnel puts University Island within a 30-minute reach from Tianhe and connects 9 areas on the island. Its construction took nearly 5 years and the opening was critically delayed until just before the Asian Games.
