Guangdong Pavilion at World Expo to Find Home in Guangzhou

The Guangdong Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo will be moved back to Guangdong after the expo, announced Liu Xiaojie, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, during a meeting on March 11 with builders for the pavilion. The pavilion will be permanently based in Guangzhou after the expo and opened to the public.

"Cutting-paper Arcade Building"

The Guangdong Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo features the province's unique traditional "arcade buildings" and incorporates elements from the traditional paper-cutting techniques in Chaozhou and Shantou to give the building an elaborate design that combines simplicity with complexity.

The Guangdong Pavilion will have three sections – "Green Life", "Green City", and "Green Legend".
