Ten Landmark Projects Around Beijing Road Are to Start

In the afternoon of March 7, the ceremony of "Launching Construction of Business and Tourism Downtown Featuring Guangzhou City Culture along Beijing Road & Authorizing Publicity Ambassadors for Greeting the Asian Games" was held on Beijing Road with a millenary history. The ceremony marked the launching of construction of ten landmark projects covering 1.2 square kilometers surrounding Beijing Road.

The ten landmark projects or constructions are listed as follows:
1. Palace Museum of ancient Nanyue Kingdom;
2. Renovation of Guangzhou City God Temple;
3. Extension of Big Buddha Temple and Construction of North-South Square;
4. Comprehensive Regulation of Beijing Road for Greeting the Asian Games;
5. Tourist Services Center at Business and Tourism Downtown Featuring Guangfu Culture along Beijing Road;
6. Exhibition Center of the Guangfu Culture;
7. West Fuxue Road;
8. The Origin Site of the Old Guangzhou City;
9. Grooming of Sun Yat-sen Documents Depository and Panshan Pavilion;
10. Grooming of Xihu Road, Jiaoyu Road and Shufang Street (including historic sites of Yaozhou Isle (Drug Isle) and Southern Theater area)
