Yangchengtong Transport Cards Finally Allowed in Nansha Buses

Public transport users will be happy to learn that they can finally use their Yangchengtong transport IC cards in buses in southern Guangzhou's Nansha District. The Nansha Public Transport Company has installed the device that reads the cards and offers free service for senior citizens. According to the Guangzhou Municipal Transportation Commission on Thursday, this has been done on all of the district's 49 buses.

There have been over 11 million Yangchengtong cards issued so far in central Guangzhou. Today, the card can also be used in distant districts such as Huadu, Zengcheng and Panyu, and even in Foshan city. In the near future, the committee hopes to extend the use of this IC card on coaches travelling throughout the Pearl River Delta.
