Changdi Da Malu in downtown Guangzhou, South China, was closed for the shooting of a local mega movie from 1 am June 25 to 12 at noon of June 26.  (please click here for the Video of GZTV's new report in Chinese)

The waterfront major road was dramatically setup like 1940s for the scene that Chinese Communist Army paraded triumphantly into and took over the city from defeated Kuoming Tang in China's Civil War, and received the public cheering welcome in 1949.

Tens of thousands of people were packing at the crowded venue to watch the production and took pictures, including an old couple who did witness the grand scene 60 years ago.

The movie is called 'Qiuxi', named after the leading female role, to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of PRC.
