Registration of Asian Game Volunteers Begins

Tonight, as part of the commemoration events for the 90th anniversary of the May 4th Movement, a ceremony will be held at the Sun Yat-sen University Stadium in the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center to mark the official commencement of the recruitment of volunteers from Guangzhou for the Asian Games. From 9 PM tonight, the official website of the Asian Games Organizing Committee will begin accepting applications from members of the public to serve as volunteers at the Asian Games. The slogan for the Asian Games volunteers and the theme of the voluntary services for the Asian Games will be unveiled tonight as well.

Tonight, another ceremony will be held to mark the launch of a “New Life” initiative for the about one million young people in Guangzhou. The “New Life” initiative will largely take place in the form of voluntary services in seven fields: public interest, health, ethnics, environment protection, etiquettes, science and technology, and learning.
