Also, major businesses in the downtown shall be upgraded for a better shopping environment during the 16th Asian Games.

In addition, Guangzhou would turn certain streets into clusters of businesses serving delicacies and foods with Guangzhou characteristics, including the streets in downtown and one section of Baiyun Avenue as well as the streets on the banks of the Pearl River where bars of unique styles gathered.

Moreover, Guangzhou would encourage enterprises to cooperate with world famous counterparts which were expected to set flagship stores, marketing headquarters and regional marketing headquarters in Guangzhou around the time when the Asian Games are held.

Guangzhou will also work hard to make credit card payments available in major business zones, luxury hotels, national restaurants and businesses in and around the Asian Games City. Visa cards shall be widely used in Guangzhou.

As for transportation, besides the promotion of Liquefied Petroleum Gas and construction of gasoline/gas stations, the output of LPG would be increased to 100 thousand tons by the end of 2009.
