“Logo design of a bread store pays 200 yuan; to name a newborn gets 100 yuan; a plan of electronic products is worth 1,000 yuan …” These requests are posted on a Guangzhou-based witkey website.

Witkey is a web-based system whereby users can exchange and purchase services and information, sharing knowledge and experience in order to save time and money.

Zhang Huilin, technology director of a Guangzhou-base witkey website, said, there are at least 30,000 witkey users in Guangzhou. Some of them can gain two to three thousand yuan per month as a part time job.

There are 123 million internet users in China and this number is increasing. The quantity of recorded witkey users in China is estimated at 600,000 and is set to increase to 9 million by 2007 according to the Beijing-based CCID Consulting Co.

The witkey industry is predicted to grow as it proves popular with providers and clients alike, works can be done anywhere at flexible times. Furthermore, the request fee is much lower so it is much popular with companies.
