The Guangzhou municipal government will substantially prioritize the introduction of elite overseas professionals into the city, and ban the employment of foreigners in some basic sectors, according to the local people's congress.

French DJ Guillaume Cadihac works at a studio of Radio Guangzhou.
The sectors under the ban include basic manufacturing and business operations, grass-roots management, housekeeping, hotel/restaurant service and reception.
The municipality will tighten the checking and approval of foreign experts, and crack down on illegal overseas teachers in collaboration with personnel authorities.
The visas management will be tightened as well.
The upcoming policies are based on a recent investigation by some congressmen that revealed many loopholes in the administration of foreign employees and businesses, due to loose management, approvals or false invitations. It was discovered that some unqualified foreigners registered as "one-man companies" with false documents to deceive authorities in Guangzhou.

Fourteen selected foreign experts in Guangzhou were awarded the 4th Guangzhou Friendship Awards for their contributions to the city.

So pleased to read this article, a very sensible policy to implement.
The UK has suffered badly from uncontrolled immigration and abuse of the rules and regulations regarding entry into the UK. The government have, in the past, been far too lax in allowing other nationals into the UK and have in certain sectors actively encouraged immigrants as a pool of cheap labour (the phrase "vested interest" comes to mind). The result has been to exert great pressure on the UK's resources, housing, healthcare, education etc, and law and order. We are now rapidly heading towards the most densely populated of all the European countries.
As an English person I am very sad to see the decline, and it is a decline, of my country.
Please do not misunderstand, I am not racist, my wife is Chinese, I have friends who are from various parts of Africa, India, Pakistan and Europe and they are all of the same opinion, too little too late.
Protect your precious country and its wonderful people.
