1st China Int’l Comics Festival to be Held in GZ

The first China International Comics Festival will be launched in Guangzhou from September 29th to October 6th, as released by the press conference on May 15th. It will be a glittering occasion of comics publishing field with the largest scale and highest quality in China.

Guangzhou has its predominance to hold such high-level international comics festival, said Xu Zhibiao, Vice Mayor of the city.

First, software and comics industry in Guangzhou is playing a leading role in the country with an annual investment of 180 million Yuan. Guangzhou’s production value of cartoon and animation industry accounts for 20% the whole in the country. The market is prosperous in the city. With a good location sitting beside Hong Kong and Macau, it is more convenient for the city to cooperate with other comics giants both at home and abroad.
