Online shopping is nothing new in Guangzhou. You can get all daily necessities on the internet by clicking your mouse. Now you have further access to a more convenient life as a space for buying vegetables and meat online has emerged. It is Hao Bang Shou (good helper), Guangzhou's first online shopping mall for fresh vegetables and other foods.

Various kinds of food are covered by the website including vegetables, meat, seafood, poultry, bean curd and fruit. According to Zhang, founder of "Hao Bang Shou", they collect goods from large wholesale markets. The quality of the meat is guaranteed and the price is 30% lower than the usual market price, Zhang said proudly.

However, like other online shopping websites, distance is a big problem for Hao Bang Shou. They only send goods to locations around Tianhe Keji Street and Longkou Xi Road area in downtown Guangzhou after receiving orders.

Lunch-guests should make an advance booking one day in advance before 23:00, while dinner-guests before 15:00 the same day, Zhang said. They stock food according to the orders they get, so that the vegetables and meat remain fresh and aren't kept for days.

Zhang has been doing quite well in his business. He even received more than 30 orders within 10 days after opening.

Citizens have different opinions towards the online market. Some said it's very convenient especially for senior citizens and pregnant women. Others said they were not sure if the price on the internet was better than the average market. Quality is still the main problem, but if something good and cheap is delivered to the door people don't mind!
