Many furry moms were treated to a special Mother's Day on Saturday at the Guangzhou Xiangjiang Safari Park.
To reward the mothers among the zoo's residents, the park organized a series of activities for Mother's Day, China News Service reports.
Six elephant families attended a funny sports meeting, where the mothers and their kids competed to be named the racing champion. Two of the mothers even took part in a hurdles race along with their babies.
One koala mom in the park has given birth to twins, which is the first instance of twin koalas being born since 1960, according to a 2007 Guangzhou Daily report.
The Guangzhou Xiangjiang Safari Park, in southern China's Guangdong Province, is famous for its top-level animal breeding technology.
