Main Roads Closed for Olympic Torch Trial Relay in GZ

As the Olympic Torch Trial Relay takes place in Guangzhou from 4:00 pm today to the dawn tomorrow, traffic control will be enforced to more than 10 main roads in the city. Police advice the public to choose metro as possible as they could and to stop waiting taxi or bus in those roads. [more photos]
The formal journey will start on May 7 with 40.82 kilometer. During the 10-hour trip including break time twice, 208 torchbearers and 48 torch runners will participate.
The trial starting today will last 9 hours. After the torch reaches the terminal Tianhe Sports Center, there will a ceremony of lighting cauldron and a grand celebration performance.
