China's 1st Cold Chain Logistics Service Provider to Settle Down in GZ

Australia's largest cold-chain logistics service provider - Swire Cold Storage Pty Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of John Swire & Sons Pty Ltd and the Guangdong Foodstuffs Import & Export Group Corporation have recently announced the establishment of Guangdong Swire Cold Storage Ltd which was China's first cold chain logistics service provider.

Before this, the Guangdong Foodstuffs Import & Export Group Corporation has cooperated with the Swire Group to set up Swire Coco-cola Guangdong Ltd, Swire Coco-cola Huizhou Ltd and Guangzhou Shengbao Container Manufacturing Ltd.

Guangdong Swire Cold Storage Ltd would set up a network covering major cities in China, providing services regarding refrigerated transport and distribution.

For the first phase of the project, a cold storage warehouse with a volume of twenty thousand tons would be built. The total volume of cold storage warehouses would reach forty thousand tons. The whole project would cost RMB 300 million and be completed in 2009.
