Passengers wait for the special MTR trains to the Guangzhou Railway Station.

Yesterday special MTR service started for the stranded train passengers from Xin Gang Dong (Pazhou Complex where over 10,000 travelers were accommodated to relieve the pressure of the over-crowded Guangzhou Railway Station) to the railway station.

On the other hand, the MTR stops of San Yuan Li (三元里) and the Guangzhou Railway Station (火车站) have been temporarily closed for running trains of Line 2, according to the emergency solution of the Guangzhou Metro Group (GMG). Trains do not stop at these two places.

It is to help ease the crowds pressure at the railway station.

The MTR passengers who head for the two stops are asked to get off at Yue Xiu Gong Yuan (越秀公园). Many people said they could understand and accepted it.

When the normal metro service would resume is still uncertain and subject to the traffic situation, GMG announced.
