A new arena for the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games was unveiled on Tuesday. As one of the main venues for swimming and diving for the coming big event, the so called "Water Cube" competition complex is to be launched inside the Guangdong Olympic Center in the city's Tianhe district.

The blue-and-white "Water Cube" looks like DNA double helix and symbolizes Guangzhou's famous Baiyun Mountain and Pearl River. The project is expected to commence in the first half of 2008.
