Life of Guangzhou - 200 Elites Compete for "Chinese Ani-Comic Oscar" in Guangzhou

On the evening of January 2nd, 2008, the 4th Golden Dragon Award Super Cosplay National Competition was held at the Huanghuagang Theater. Over 200 top Cosplayers from across the country had a friendly contest and exchange, which officially unveiled the prelude of a series of events for the so-called "Chinese Ani-Comic Oscar".

The COSPLAY is known as "China's Top Ani-Comic Award", which is an annual check of the creative force for the national Chinese Ani-Comic circle. This award, themed with "My World, My Dream", received over 5,000 works from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, US and other places. 39 outstanding works were short listed for the final award. The awarding ceremony will be held on January 19th, 2007.

This COSPLAY drew the attention of over 200 contestants from the top elite teams in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, etc, including such famous teams as CURE, Bairi Shirohi, Cateran Corps and 304 Team.

Over half of the contesting teams of this COSPLAY chose China initiated Ani-Comic figures for their costume play, changing the consistent situation of taking Japanese and occident Ani-Comic figures as the majority of costume play and brimming the site with full-bodied Chinese style.
