Conghua Hot Spring Health Valley Construction Ceremony Kicks off

The ceremony of the Conghua Spa Health Valley project has kicked off in Mipu Village, Liangkou Town. The Guangzhou Municipal CPC Committee and Guangzhou Municipal Government highlighted the project. The Guangzhou Land Development Center is the main builder. So far RMB1.3 billion has been allocated for the project design, land development and infrastructure building, advancing such preparation work as planning design, land acquisition and building demolition as well as environmental redressing.

The destination of the project, Conghua Kouliuxi Hot Spring is located between the Liuxihe National Forest Garden and the Conghua Hot Spring and covers a total area of 29.28 square kilometers. In early 2005, the project was approved by the government as a key project of Guangzhou and a key preparation construction project of Guangdong Province. It was designed to be an international health holiday resort, national resort for leisure, holiday, tourism and culture and provincial knowledge publicity and a public entertainment center.

The health valley is divided into three functional zones, the international commercial meeting zone, spa zone and public leisure zone. The international commercial zone is expected to house an international meeting center, platinum five-star hotel and international film and performance center. Its total building area will reach 140,000 square kilometers. The total investment will amount to RMB 1.5 billion.
