Seven Professional Wholesale Markets in GZ to Be Upgraded

On December 10th, 2007, the Yongfu Road of Yuexiu District, China's largest industrial cluster for auto parts and accessories officially established an Integration Development Committee of the uniform auto parts and accessories industrial park, which was expected to complete its upgrading process during the first half of next year. It will be the first wholesale market industrial park to have completed its upgrading and renovation.

According to the principal of the Yuexiu District Economic and Trade Bureau, the upgrading and renovation of the park would include defining the admission thresholds for merchants, normalizing market planning, promoting brand construction, etc.

In October of this year, Guangzhou promulgated the Upgrading and Renovation Requirements on Building Guangzhou's Wholesale Market Groups into Industrial Parks, which lists the first 7 wholesale markets, including the Yongfu Auto Parts and Accessories Market in Yuexiu District. According to the relevant authorities, this is another large-scale industrial park upgrade and renovation following the Meat-and-Vegetable Markets in Guangzhou. It has been estimated the renovation of the professional markets would be completed in five years.

The seven wholesale markets to be upgraded include the Yongfu Auto Parts and Accessories Market in Yuexiu District, Liuhua Kuangquan Garment Market, the Tea Market in Liwan District, Zhongda Fabric Market on Xingang Road, W., Haizhu District, Lianquan Road Garment Wholesale Market in Shahe, Tianhe District, Ziyuangang Leather Products Wholesale Market in Baiyun District, and the Guangzhou Shaxi International Industrial Products Merchandising Center in Panyu District.
