Life of Guangzhou - 2007 Forum on Media for Guangzhou Asian Games Kicks off

On December 9th, 2007 the Forum on Media for the Guangzhou Asian Games kicked off at Jinan University. The forum was jointly held by the Organizing Committee for the 16th Asian Games and Jinan University. It has been the first time for the Organizing Committee to discuss with the media on broadcasting of the 16th Asian Games to be held in Guangzhou. With the theme of ‘Guangzhou Asian Games from the Perspective of the Media' the forum provided strategic suggestions and advice on issues related to news reporting and enhancing the image of Guangzhou. Those that attended the Forum included Yan Pingquan, Vice Director of the Press Commission of the Chinese Olympic Committee, Yang Jian, Deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Xu Ruisheng, Executive Vice Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee and Vice Mayor of Guangzhou as well as media persons from Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangdong and specialists as well as 300 students from Jinan University.
