Newly repaired Guangzhou Uprising Museum

The Guangzhou Uprising Museum will reopen to the public on December 11, 2007, the 80th anniversary of Guangzhou Uprising. The refurbishment, which cost over RMB 8 million and took more than one year to complete features an exhibition area of 900 square meters. A special feature vividly reproduces the historic moment of Guangzhou Uprising with over 150 rare historical relics and more than 350 historical pictures and photos.

Compared with the original exhibition, the newly minted exhibition is much more objective and inclusive. Covering three sections are the basic display, renewed display and special display areas. The Museum searched the Central Archives Bureau, Tianjin University and other places to build a collection of rare artifacts such as the manuscript of War and Strategy Problems reworked by Mao Zedong himself. Some cultural relics are simulated, while the red scarves worn by Workers' and Peasants' Red Army during Guangzhou Uprising, which have been reserved in the warehouse over the years, will go back on public display.

 

5-minute 3D Ani-Comic movie displaying historic moments of the Guangzhou Uprising

 

The exhibition features an especially arranged, nearly 5-minute 3D Ani-Comic movie reproducing the fighting scenes of the uprising personnels´taking of the then, bureau of public security.
